AIHF Overview
The American Indian Heritage Foundation was establised to provide relief services to Indian people nationwide and to build bridges of understanding and friendship
between Indian and non-Indian people.
Under the umbrella of the National Heritage Foundation, Princess Pale Moon founded the American Indian Heritage Foundation (AIHF) in 1973.
Under the guidance of
the National Heritage Foundation, AIHF continued to grow and separately incorporated under the laws of Virginia on September 20, 1982. The Baltimore District ruled on May 23, 1983, that AIHF was exempt from
Federal income tax, as it met all the requirements described by the Internal Revenue Code and received it's 501 (c) (3) status, enabling corporations to receive a tax credit for Gift-In-Kind donations. As a
public foundation, The American Indian Heritage Foundation also qualifies for a 509 (a)(1), and 170 (b)(1)(A)(vi) status, providing maximum tax advantages to contributing corporations. Federal Tax ID # 54-1222903
